Mystic® is a newer hop variety to be released by the Britain-based Charles Faram Hop Development Programme. Mystic® is a lower alpha acid variety that provides clean bittering in lighter styles, but is mostly used as an aroma variety because of its fruit-forward character. Mystic® is not as big and bold as fellow UK variety Harlequin®, but Mystic® offers a unique combination of black currant, citrus, and passion fruit. Mystic® is the daughter of Jester® and was selected primarily for its amazing aroma, but also because of disease resistance and yield potential.
Because Mystic® is such a new variety we are looking to see what you think of it. So be sure to let us know what you brew up with it and how it turns out!
